My brother-in-law, Al, has the quickest wit. He can light up a room with his ability to find humour in the everyday. I love being around him when he’s playful like that. I wish I could come up with a few good lines.
Some folks can make jokes out of anything. If they don’t make them themselves, they recall them with ease.
Me?
There isn’t a single joke I can think of; they are not something I hold in my thoughts. Scratch my brain or look to the sky, no amount of pulling will help me recall.
I wish I had a key to all the jokes I’ve heard. I’d unlock that closet and throw away the key, prop open the door, never to be closed again.
Alas, I’ve lost the key…
