I know cats love to play. I’ve had them all my life. But our latest cat, Hamish Moo, plays with me in a way I haven’t seen before!

He plays hide and seek!

It is well-known that cats like to crawl into tight spaces to curl up and relax. Most cats I know will crawl in a bag or box and enjoy when you scratch the outside, drag a string in front, or poke a hole in and peek inside.

But, the game Moo loves is significantly different and speaks to a level of intelligence...

1. Moo initiates the game by thundering down the hall into the bedroom or bathroom.
2. Moo plays tag! Often, his game includes running up, tagging me and running off to hide again. Especially if I pretend I can’t see him!
3. Moo takes turns! First, he hides, and I make a fuss of finding him. Then I hide, he looks for me, and he’s off again to find a new spot.
